As you may have gathered, Jay and I are great friends; he also has the misfortune of doing my hair. From white blonde, back to my natural dark brown (that lasted all of a week) back to a golden blonde of some description, and finally; to the vow of not speaking to me if I even considered doing my own roots during the first lockdown (ladies… I stuck to it, I didn’t touch them).
But, that’s enough about me, let’s talk about the lovely products and my ever talented friend.
first off, we were kindly gifted the shampoo and conditioners (I’m going to list everything with links at the bottom of this post), you can tell straight away this was not a cheap product, the smell was subtle ( to match the silk protein perfume spray – this, I am happy to say is a great alternative to the Penhaligan’s halfeti as it’s a lighter fragrance with a similar moisturising shine element to it, I love the minimal packaging too, it’s chic white and black, perfect for adding a bit of Balmain to your bathroom.
As you can see in the images above, we used the Tape extensions these are a lot quicker than your average extensions, however I misjudged how many I’d need with this mane so if in doubt, I strongly suggest you message the lovely team as I’m now due for a second visit to Jay (he loves it really) Back to the product themselves, well as you can see; we thought we’d go one extreme to the other, from a sleek backcombed ponytail to a full on head of curls.
The hair responded amazingly, and it was easy to brush out and wash the next day.
I wish I could of shared some better images of the hair, however we were conscious of the covid rules etc.
In the next few days I hope to share some fab images on my socials from a photoshoot over the weekend, this will also show case the more editorial side of the products that Balmain Hair so kindly gifted us.
Below are links to the products used and a direct link to Jay’s social media and examples of his work.
